I just discovered that my awesome friend, Lisa, does not like pie.
This is so weird. It’s not bad, because we are all allowed to have differences and this is what makes humans so great, but really? Pie? WOW. How can you NOT like pie? I love pie. Even cow pies. I mean, cow pies are amazing. Can you imagine being an animal where you basically have diarrhea every time you poop–which all harden into a pie?
And it may seem like I don’t know anything about cows, but I once went to Farm Camp up in Cazadero, CA and I saw all the cows poop all the time, and it looked (and smelled) just like diarrhea pies. Mmmm, pie.
Therefore, I’d like to take a lazy poll and find out how many people like pie. What’s a lazy poll? A lazy poll is where I don’t incorporate some sort of new-fangled javascript whatever poll/survey thing where you can click on a button to say YES I LIKE PIE or NO I HATE PIE and I can get actual statistics on the responses.
No, you just have to respond with yes or no, and maybe a reason why (or why not) and your favorite kind of pie.
My favorite kind of pie right now is CHERRY, all thanks for the June (or May?) cover of Bon Appetit, which featured a sour cherry pie on their cover. Except my pies weren’t really sour. They were just really sweet.

Alright, listen. I like pot pies. I like meat pies. I just think in general, the crust of pies is not sweet enough to make it a yummy dessert. I like yummy sweet desserts – nothing salty, nothing savory, and in general, nothing crusty.
Also, it was the May issue. The June issue features bbq – it’s a burger that looks very similar to the pulled pork on Gourmet’s June cover.
I’m not a freak.

Yes. I like apple pie with the crust on top. I may like pie crust more than I like pie.

I’ve discussed this with my ladyfriend on more than one occasion. I’m not a fan of pie. I don’t like crust. Chocolate pie w/ whipped cream is nice but I just eat the filling. I also don’t like warm/hot fruit. Fruit is best cold or at room temperature. I had warm pineapple on my Chinese food last night…gross. So since most pie is made up of fruit filling I usually go for a nice piece of cake or anything made of chocolate and resembling a volcano or other destructive geological feature (such as a mudslide).
Pie charts are pretty sweet though. Informative and to the point.

I love pie. Always have, always will. Except that it made me fat during senior year. Remember how we would eat (alot of) rice at dinner, and then have pumpkin-pecan pie AND ice-cream for dessert? Yeah.
I make a pretty good banana cream pie. I also did pumpkin pie and chocolate cream pie for my office Xmas lunch last year. Apple is fine, as is rhubarb. But my all time favourite is key lime pie. You can’t get a good key lime pie in Singapore, and that breaks my heart.

I love pie. Fresh and hot peach pie with vanilla ice cream is the best, but key lime is pretty amazing as well…

Pie’s good, except for Pecan or other pies with nuts in them. No nuts.

I wouldn’t trust anyone who doesn’t like pie.
I’m picky about what kind, but my fav is apple…but not this certain kind of apple…that I only know when I see it. LOL
