Greetings. I kind of abandoned writing on this for a week, since a certain trade show kind of took over my life, but I think it’s all good now, especially knowing that it’s over. The highlight of the week was wrapping up the horrendous work days with Maia’s Salastina Music Society debut shows. I wasn’t able to make the first show, which featured Seth Rogen but that was okay, because being able to sit in an intimate church in Santa Monica while listening to one of your best friends play violin with a world famous opera singer was pretty fucking awesome. It was also the first time B had seen Maia perform, so the whole night made me proud of my super talented friend.
By the way, did you know I had lots of talented friends? Not only did Maia kick off her concert series, but our other friend ran an entire marathon in Alaska. Yes, this all happened in the same weekend.
And what did I accomplish these past couple of days? Let’s see. I walked around E3 for the first time ever. I ate a lemon bar. I learned that I have to get a root canal this week. I’m halfway through Alan Wake. I saw Papillon. I think I accidentally killed a couple of my cilantro seedlings. I also tripped three times on a single walk to dinner. I am such a winner.

What did you like at E3? I was disappointed in the number of invite only demos for the games I was excited to see. Rayman Origins and Limbo (indie game for XBLA) looked pretty cool. Mostly I was excited I found $3 parking when my friend had to pay $30.
