My cilantro seems to be doing a lot better! I moved them to a shady spot and now I just have to keep an eye on them so no one steals their delicious little leaves. I can’t wait until they grow tall enough so I can bury my face in them, like what Anne in Anne of Green Gables use to do with her flowers. Except sometimes I wonder how she did them, because she’d be talking about a vase full of apple blossoms and those don’t really look comfortable enough to bury you head in. Wouldn’t you just get the branches poking your face? So maybe it was rhetorical. However, if you do see me with my face stuffed into a terracotta pot in my back yard, don’t call 911. In fact, just leave me be.

Meet my new cilantro family! I’ve never successfully grown plants from seed before, so the fact that these coriander seeds actually sprouted and grow bigger every day just blows me away. The last time I tried this, I sowed strawberry seeds in a cute little strawberry pot and waited week after week before finally giving up. Maybe I didn’t really water the pot or anything, but it still broke my heart.
Now I know I can do this! Also, my plans to live among a huge pasture of mouth-wateringly-scented cilantro is almost complete. I just need like 564 more of these jiffy pots, and I’m set.
Nature is amazing!
