I’m like THISCLOSE to tuning in for the final season of The Hills. The show feels like an old friend to me, one who provided so much fun, so many quotes (HE IS A SUCKY PERSON!), so many office discussions and so many internal debates on whether or not I should be thinner/dress better/etc.

Oh, Lauren. You made a smart move to leave the show but I’m hoping you make one final return to say goodbye. Also, I don’t know what’s scarier: Heidi trying to smile at her mom or Heidi trying to cry. Her poor face.

Okay, so I’m catching up on my episodes of The City, despite the fact that it’s still incredibly boring and they keep introducing new characters so I keep getting lost with who is friends with who and trying not to fall asleep.

But since I’ve never lived in New York, despite having been there numerous times, I’m thankful that Whitney Port’s new reality show is teaching me so much about the Big Apple. Like, apparently there are zero Black and Latino people living there. Who knew?

Oh wait, my bad. There’s a black guy there, on the left. You see him? He’s standing next to the parking sign. Wait. Sorry. It’s just nighttime and you can’t tell. He’s probably white.

And…models look like aliens in real life. Or anime characters. Same thing, right? Ugh. Eat something, bitch. And cover up those shadows under your eyes.

JFK is a very empty, quiet airport.

And no comment on this knitted headdress. Really, Whitney? REALLY? You are no Aretha.

The new season of The Hills started last week, as we all know. Don’t deny it. I know you’re watching. Yeah, you too.

All I want to know is, what happened to Heidi’s face?

I just watched the finale of America’s Best Dance finale at my desk, because I was too busy seeing if I was smarter than a 5th grader on Fox instead. I definitely know I am smarter than a 4th grader. And then I had this brilliant idea for the game show format, where instead, dumb Americans compete against a group of 5 Asian American 5th graders and have to answer really hard SAT or math questions.

No more true/false questions about the factors of 9. We’d force grown-ups to think about the quadratic equation or read a whole paragraph and then answer a series of multiple choice questions about the material. Then maybe a quickfire calculation with the use of an abacus. Awesome.

Wait, so what does this have to do with the JabbaWockeez? No idea. Except that I’m glad they won.

Plus, Kev and I came up with this brilliant show idea. Now that they’ve won, their next step would be….obviously, another reality show: Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew Presents: The Search for the Next JabbaWockeeZ. Then they look for a new Asian dude (like the guy from Kaba Modern) to replace the sole Black guy to make it all Asian. The twist? The Black dude doesn’t even know he’s the one being replaced. Yeah? yeah??

Then we can edit all the drama together as he slowly realizes what’s going on, and it can be the new version of The Hills. I’m brilliant. Why am I not pitching this to MTV right now? Except, I don’t think the title is long enough.

Wow. Clearly, I do not have my priorities straight when I realized this morning that I totally missed The Hills premiere last night on MTV. What have I been doing??? Geez! I even went to bed last night at 10pm, thinking everything was swell.

Anyway, I re-organized my priorities and finally finished the completely content-less episode. Here are my questions:

  1. What is up with this Paris trip being a huge deal? It’s ONE WEEK. 7 DAYS. POSSIBLY LESS. How can spending one week away from your hook-up (aka Brody) be a huge issue?
  2. Why does LC’s Parisian fling look like he’s 35 years old?
  3. Why does LC keep making really bad judgment calls? This girl needs to understand that as an intern, you never come first. Everyone else (including debutantes’ shoes) does.
  4. I saw Heidi and Spencer having dinner together over the weekend in Beverly Hills. That and the really cheesy posed pictures by their paparazzi photographer obviously show that they’re still together.
  5. Someone needs to make new T-shirts that say “SAVE HEIDI.”

Back to work.

For your viewing pleasure.

I kinda thought this was funny. Except, why doesn’t the rest of Janet’s face move when she talks? It’s like she’s Nicole Kidman or something.

Wait, everyone already knows that. Hell, the new Step Up 2 movie is directed by an Asian guy.

This is for Kevin, because he wishes he can dance. Just kidding. He pointed out the JabbaWockeeZ who are currently competing in MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, cause all but one of them are Asian. Wooooot.

Oh wait, Kaba Modern is also competing and they’ve got some hot Asian chicks, too.

Why aren’t any of these dancers Japanese? Oh, right. Because we’re too busy inventing smaller and more efficient electronics, or buying used panties from vending machines around Tokyo. I get it.

I just re-discovered my purpose in life: to watch the new episodes of The Hills.

Have you checked out the “extended version” of the trailer?

OMG Brody has a new girlfriend and Audrina stabs LC in the back by inviting Heidi over and where did LC get that really cute purple coat I WANT IT!

I like the comments on the MTV site. For example: theatrechick4life writes:

FINALLY heidi is realizing what an ass spencer really is and apparently his sister has changed into an actual human being.

Right. Sure they are. That’s why I saw pictures of Speidi snuggling at some EA party the other night. Does this girl not understand what reality is?

(Okay, seriously? An extended version of a TRAILER? I can understand an extended version of a feature film, or like, an extended version of my buffet dinner at the new Souplantation, but a TRAILER? Let’s get real.)

One of the keys to a successful reality show on network television is fact checking and research. Trust me. I know this. I was once a researcher. This meant many trips to the LA downtown library and perfecting my google skills.

Therefore, I’d like to remind you that Michael on your really trashy Tila Tequila show, is from Warwick, Rhode Island. Not Warwich. Which you could have easily corrected. Don’t you have interns to do this kind of stuff? I mean, I know your assistants make your interns even pick up their lunch for them. But that’s a whole other issue.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

A Nobody
