Really Important Question: Dogs

I love Japanese television. Seriously, everything about it is so great, from the pointless subjects, the dramatic music and the audience reaction (one of the things I like to do while hanging out with my mom is to react with a big “eeeehhhh???” to every un-shocking thing she says).

Or maybe it’s just Japanese dogs that are so great? I love Japanese dogs!

So now I have to decide: when we buy our farm, should we get a Shiba Inu or (as originally planned) a black Labrador?

Here’s the upside to getting a Shiba Inu: I know for a fact that when I die, my dog will remain faithful to me until his death, even if it means waiting at the train station day after day. Oh wait. That’s an Akita. Dammit.

A Bigger Prison

If you haven’t been watching the live puppy cam for the past two weeks, WELL YOU SHOULD. Seriously, get your priorities straight.

My friends and I had lots of fun trying to figure out where these puppies were. What’s outside their crate? I envisioned a long hallway in a vet’s office, or a warm cottage with a cozy fireplace, or (worst case scenario) thousands of other crates with live puppies in the middle of a puppy mill, or even (racist case scenario) the kitchen of a popular Asian restaurant with a bubbling cauldron in the middle.

I guess it’s none of the above, cause I caught the camera being raised to show the rest of their little play area…AND IT’S JUST A BIGGER PRISON.

This made me feel really sad. It’s like every time I look up from my cubicle desk…and see another wall. :( I guess these puppies are just a metaphor for my life (except the 4 hour spontaneous naps only take place on the weekends).

PS. They’re growing so fast!!!
