So like, I know there aren’t any jetpacks or big guns in this Ni no Kuni game from Studio Ghibli (plus, I’m not a fan of RPGs) but holy crap, I want to play it. Will it ever get released in the States? *lower lip trembles*

Studio Ghibli’s The Borrower Arrietty is almost here but the chances of me being able to see this in theatres are like zero. But it’s okay. Miyazaki didn’t direct it and Disney will probably dub it horribly and I can just watch this YouTube clip over and over.

My heart almost ‘spoded and my pants were almost peed in when I saw the news that Studio Ghibli was releasing a new film based on the old novel, The Borrowers. And then I read that Hayao Miyazaki wasn’t directing this one, so my heart stopped yammering in my chest and I put the emergency roll of toilet paper away. Then I remembered that I was never really a fan of The Borrowers because as cool as their life was as miniature people ingenious enough to create a lifestyle around ginormous human sized items, the book was really boring.

Miyazaki and I just have great taste in young adult literature, like Diana Wynne Jones. He just needs to make a fantasy animated version of Emily of New Moon (BEST BOOK EVER) and then I’ll be set for life.

I saw a post online that inspired people to submit the saddest thing you could find online, like photos of dead kitties or articles about drunk drivers killing entire families in split seconds or a graphic description of my social life.

But I think I win with this final clip from Grave of the Fireflies. B isn’t allowed to watch it since he hasn’t seen the movie yet (for some reason, the story about two orphan kids trying to survive during World War II in Japan doesn’t sound very appealing), but I do know for the fact that I sat down to watch this with two full grown men and even they had a hard time keeping their eyes from tearing up.

I love this song. Sometimes it comes up on my iPod, which can be a total mood killer when you’re trying to hit on your fiance, but it’s just so beautiful!

Okay, I think I’ve posted enough about Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea but I was excited enough to enter a Twitter contest to win a copy of the Japanese DVD from GhibliWorld.com, WHICH I TOTES WON.

I can’t wait! Now I get to watch this movie anytime I want! My only question is that it could be a region 2 DVD which means hopefully we have that old DVD player that can play it. Do we? B? Hello?
