OMG BABIES!!!!

I can’t believe this movie trailer has been around and no one told me about it! There’s a documentary called Babies that’s coming out this Friday, and it’s all about BABIES which is why I am going to rename this film as OMG BABIES!!! because seriously, babies are amazing.

I don’t mean babies are amazing in that I want to have them anytime soon. Babies are amazing because they are just so poke-able and funny and adorable and drooly. Sometimes they’re really annoying like the one with the wonky eye that we had to deal with on our flight, but I’m sure he was really cute when he was sleeping.

The best part about this documentary is that there are two (TWO) Asian babies: Mari from Tokyo (YAY JAPAN) and Bayar from Mongolia (YAY MONGOLIA), which is a country I feel very close to because of my birthmark. Ponijao from Namibia seems adorably squishable but I could care less about Hattie from Seattle, because like, talk about not cute. Sorry, was that mean? Look at her. She’s like the only one who isn’t smiling in all the pictures. Am I on a first name basis with these babies? Yes. Did I spend most of the morning talking about this film? Yes. Did I watch the clip below like 15 times? YES.

I’m seriously going to watch this film. Who’s with me??

This is probably the unfunniest thing I’ve seen Patton Oswalt do, and right now, that’s a compliment. I didn’t even know he was working on a dramatic movie (which means I’m not a very big fan, am I?) but I hope this movie does well and I can’t wait to see it.

I wonder if Patton would accept my offer to pay him to record his daily thoughts so I can listen to them. Is that creepy? Yes, but he’s so funny. SO FUNNY.

Disney has finally released their version of Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea which showcases the wonderful art by Miyazaki better than the other trailers but unfortunately features the dubbed voices. Blech.

So I prefer to listen to this while watching the trailer as much as possible.

Speaking of which, B thinks it’s the worst song ever and I just think that’s rude.

moyelife: ponyo ponyo ponyo ponyo
B: i hope the movie isn’t as irritating as that song
moyelife: YOU TAKE THAT BACK
moyelife: YOU BETTER TAKE THAT BACK
[10 minutes later]
moyelife: ARE YOU GONNA TAKE THAT BACK OR WHAT
B: I don’t think I can

Sorry, I loved this book but this just looks bad.

Uh-oh. I really enjoyed this book last year, but I have a bad feeling about the movie. Is this why the release date has been postponed so much?

It looks like way too many explosions and violence than what the book revealed. Then again, maybe that’s the only route to go to portray such a haunting story.

I just silently squee-ed at my desk. I’ve got two months to re-read the book so I can remember what happens, and then complain about what the movie left out.

The brilliance behind The Descent was the fact that in the original version, everyone was doomed. Okay, I’ll try not to give away the ending but COME ON, it’s 2009 and the movie came out 4 years ago. Even I know the ending to The Usual Suspects even though I have yet to sit down and watch it. Can we finally talk about this movie now?

But apparently there is a sequel coming out that takes place immediately after the first one? This is ridiculous.

It looks scary but sometimes a good horror story has an ending, which the people behind Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th would completely disagree with.

But is this follow-up story necessary, especially if it means you have to rewrite portions of the first one? I assumed the best friend was dead, but from the looks of this trailer, she survies? Ugh. This is wrong.

I’m excited about this movie. I was a little disappointed with Stardust, but I think animation was the right way to go in portraying the world of Coraline.

Plus, those button eyes freaked me the fuck out when I read the book. Yes, this was last year and I was 26. Yes, I am a wimp.

I would write something interesting or entertaining, but I’m feeling really tired today and it’s probably because I stayed up late last night to bake a batch of cinnamon buns (I said on Facebook that I wasn’t sharing but I gave one to the other Kevin this morning) and I ate one this morning and it was a little disappointing taste-wise (then again, I did not make any icing so maybe that’s why) and that just made me feel a teensy bit sad because cinnamon buns are supposed to be one of the best things in the world that make me really happy, but this one just didn’t work. Oh, I know why. It’s because I decided to weigh myself with the scale at the gym for the first time since…well…the holidays, and apparently I am 10 lbs heavier than I thought, which is IMPOSSIBLE because all my clothes still fit, and I still only have one chin, I can see past my tummy, and if anything, being semi-active on a semi-daily basis should mean I am 2 ounces LIGHTER so WTF DUDE. Is the scale broken or am I delusional?

Waaaahhhhh.

I hate being a girl.

WHERE’S JUBILEE???

(Just kidding. I know. I know. She’s like the dumbest character ever with the dumbest superpower ever. But don’t you realize that her real superpower is the fact that she’s half-Asian? Duhhhhhhh.)

Please?

This is a waitress at Cafe 101 in Hollywood who has a different colored eye like the girl in the trailer. I wonder if she’s haunted by a dead twin, too.
